Basic trainings and kick-off retreat for the works council

Rights and duties of the works council

The work of a works council requires in-depth knowledge of the legal framework and your own room for manoeuvre. Our basic trainings convey the essential content of the Works Constitution Act (WCA) in a practical way and help works councils to fulfil their co-determination tasks competently. Our trainings are designed to equip works councils with the necessary knowledge to effectively carry out their role and represent the interests of the workforce.

Our basic trainings for works councils include:

  • BR I: Introduction to the work of the works council
  • BR II: Participation in individual personnel measures and personnel planning
  • BR III: Co-determination and social affairs
  • BR IV: The role of the works council in the event of alterations – reconciliation of interests and social plan
  • Effective organisation of the Finance Committee
  • Occupational Health and Safety I
  • Occupational Health and Safety II

These basic training courses offer both new and experienced works councils the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and strategically develop their works council work. They cover all essential aspects of works council activities and provide practical guidance for day-to-day tasks.

Training and advice: The kick-off and strategy retreat for your works council

A successful works council is characterised by effective co-determination, clear objectives and a strategic approach. Especially at the beginning of a new term of office, the question arises: How do we organise our work as effectively as possible?

Our kick-off and strategy retreat offers you a structured framework to set the course for a productive term of office. It’s all about:

  • Taking stock of the current challenges
  • Definition of goals and priorities
  • Development of work structures and role allocations
  • Communication and team dynamics within the committee

A retreat helps to lay the foundation for successful collaboration and to shape the works council’s activities in a targeted manner from the outset.

We are happy to support you in gaining clarity about your working methods and developing a common understanding of the operational challenges. Contact us for expert advice on co-determination, works council responsibilities and essential basic training!
